Q: Is a university affiliation needed to receive services at UCCF?
A: No university affiliation is needed to receive UCCF services. The Center was established in 1987 to provide quality services to the entire community.
Q: How much do services cost?
A: UCCF is committed to providing strength-based services at affordable rates. To that end, the Center offers a generous sliding scale fee schedule with fees ranging from $35 to $100 per session based on income and family circumstances. In addition, the Center is an UM PremierCare provider. Many other insurances also help cover the cost of our services.
Q: Who will my therapist be?
A: All UCCF therapists are advanced graduate student interns in Psychology or Social Work working under the close supervision of a senior licensed interdisciplinary staff. Center supervisors are Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists and Speech and Language Pathologists
Q: How do I request additional information or make an appointment?
A: Additional information about any of our services can be obtained by calling 734-764-9466 or sending an email to our intake coordinator, Adele Santeiu, L.L.M.S.W., asanteiu@umich.edu. When you are ready to make an appointment, just call the Center at 734-764-9466.
Q: What happens when I call to make an appointment?
A: If you are calling about therapy or groups, you will speak with our Intake Coordinator. She will help you determine whether the Center is the right place to serve you, or provide you with referrals to other agencies. If you will be initiating services at the Center, you will be asked to provide basic demographic and insurance information.
If you are calling for a testing, someone in our front office will discuss the details with you, and schedule an appointment.
